Personal Information Collection
In order for us Volta to provide you the Services and keep improving your experience, Volta collects different kinds of information through the Site and the Software, and uses this information in different ways.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information. When you visit the Site we collect certain demographic information (such as your IP address, type of Internet browser and operating system you use, pages viewed, the URL that you visited before you came to the Site, and the URL to which you next go) in order to understand how Users navigate through the Site and to improve your experience using the Site.
When you use the Services or the Software additional personal information may automatically or voluntarily be collected from you. Such personal information may include information on your computer or mobile device being used and charging activities such as location information (GPS-data) and other information, e.g. time, duration spent at a charging station, etc. We use this information to help us understand usage patterns and improve your experience using our Services and improve our Services.
We use the User Information in order to provide the Services to the customer and Users and to otherwise communicate with you as a customer or User regarding the Services. From time to time, you may receive offers through Volta from other businesses. These offers may require you to provide information to them if you choose to accept their offers. You should remember that these offers are made by the businesses themselves and not by Volta. You should always be sure to read the terms of service and privacy policies of these businesses before providing any information to them so that you can understand their intended uses for your information. Volta may receive information from these regarding your response to their offers so that Volta may better tailor your user experience.
From time to time, we may also collect information via online surveys or polls. Participation in these surveys or polls is entirely voluntary and you may easily decline to participate.
Aggregated Information. Volta may also analyze and compile information on patterns of usage of the Services. This information is collected in aggregate form, without identifying any User individually. We may use this information to improve the Services and provide this information to third parties for commercial purposes.

Personal Information Sharing
We generally do not share with any third party User Information in a way that would personally identify you. However, we may do so in the following circumstances:
(a) as part of a merger, acquisition or any form of sale of some or all of Volta assets or business,
(b) to our service providers and other contractors for the purposes of providing Service to us (such contractors are prohibited from using User Information for any other purpose),
(c) to resolve customer disputes or inquiries;
(d) in the unlikely event of insolvency, bankruptcy or receivership in which your personal information would be transferred as one of Volta’s business assets; and
(e) where we are legally obligated to disclose information to the government or third parties for the purposes of national security, law enforcement or other issues of public importance.
We may aggregate information and data about you and your use of the Site and Services and provide such aggregated information and data to customers, partners, and advertisers and for marketing or promotional purposes. In these circumstances, we do not disclose information that could be used to personally identify you.
Access by Volta, its partners, Volta charging station hosts, or authorized third parties, or their respective employees and consultants to any personal information you provide is limited to only information necessary to provide the business service offered and to allow employees or consultants to perform their duties.
Notice to California Users: We do not share any User Information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes without your prior consent.
Certain features on our Site or Services may contain interactive areas where Users can submit comments, images, recipes, or other content (“User Generated Content”) that may be visible to others or where Users can communicate with others. Users should be aware that when they voluntarily disclose personally identifiable information (e.g., name, email address, postal address, etc.) in public, interactive sections of the Site, the information can be read and used by others. We strongly encourage you to not disclose any personally identifiable information in any such submissions of User Generated Content to the Site or through the Services. We make no representations and undertake no obligations as to the security or use of information you voluntarily include when submitting User Generated Content. The Site and the Services are intended for adult Users, and Volta does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years of age. Subject to Volta's Age Restrictions for use of the Services in the Terms we encourage parents and legal guardians to participate in and advise their children on their use of online activities. We encourage children to get their parents and/or guardian's permission before disclosing any information to an online media.
